Axel Wersel new Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Vibracoustic AG
Axel Wersel (52) has been appointed to the Management Board of Vibracoustic AG as Chief Operating Officer as of January 1, 2021. In this new position, he will assume responsibility for Operations and Supply Chain Management.
In his former position at Vibracoustic as Executive Vice President Business Unit RIDE Solutions, Axel Wersel was globally responsible for the Product Groups Air Springs Light Vehicles, Chassis Mounts, Micro Cellular Polyurethane (MCU) and Commercial Vehicle Applications.
Axel Wersel joined Vibracoustic AG in 1995. In 1998 he became Head of Process Engineering managing the industrialization of new projects and drove process optimization before he became Business Area Manager responsible for chassis products. During this time, he accelerated the expansion of the global Vibracoustic footprint by establishing R&D centers and production facilities in China, Mexico, the US and South Africa. Since 2016 he had been Executive Vice President Business Unit RIDE Solutions. Axel Wersel has a degree in Business and Automotive Engineering of the University of Applied Sciences Wedel, Germany, and the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg, Germany.
