Darmstadt, April 29th, 2013. Barely one year after the merger which made TrelleborgVibracoustic the world's leading supplier of anti-vibration solutions for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, the company has moved in to its new corporate headquarters in Darmstadt. Mayor Jochen Partsch welcomed the company to the city at a meeting in the new office on Europaplatz 4 and took the opportunity to gain further insight into the latest developments with the automotive supplier.
Since the beginning of April, roughly 50 employees representing the central functions within TrelleborgVibracoustic have moved into offices on three floors of the new building complex to the west side of the central train station. "Everything fits perfectly here in Darmstadt: An attractive, environmentally friendly and transparently designed building which is easily reached from all of our 38 development and production sites around the world. What's more, we have a business-friendly environment and a renowned technical university which we have been in close contact with for many years," says Hans Jürgen Goslar, speaker of the board of management for TrelleborgVibracoustic. The move into our new headquarters, which we deliberately did not locate at an existing facility belonging to our legacy organisations, marks a further milestone in the successfully evolving merger process. Thanks to the strong foundation of our new organisation - a perfect fit in terms of global location, customer and product mix - and a firm commitment to innovation, a strong customer focus and teams of highly motivated people, we continue to leverage growth worldwide. We already supply anti-vibration solutions for 19 of the top twenty global automotive platforms produced by the major car makers. What's more we are experiencing high growth rates in China where we are expanding production capacity as we speak," explained Goslar.
Mayor Partsch was impressed by the overview of the company's products, which isolate vibration and noise in vehicles, improving comfort, safety and fuel efficiency: "The fact that TrelleborgVibracoustic is bringing its headquarters to Darmstadt is a major business message for our city. Our efforts concerning the company have paid off: the combination of business and transport-friendly location here have worked out. We welcome all of the employees to Darmstadt, the city of science and wish them every success."
